Job Training In The Pandemic

Job Starter At Blue Ridge Community College

So I have been disabled for almost 20 years.  I have recently started working with the Virginia Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services toward gaining full time employment.  Well I woke up checking the classifieds about 2 weeks ago and saw where 8 local companies were pitching in to provide a job starter at BRCC in the form of paid training.  So basically what they are going to offer is 3 weeks of paid training in manufacturing including blue print reading, math, accounting, quality assurance, fork lift certification, and basic welding.  After the training is over with there will be company tours with the sponsors and job interviews for all candidates with starting pay ranging from $16.50 and hour to $22.00 an hour.   All trainees will get respective job offers based on the training.  The training itself pays $1800 at the completion of the course.  The college will issue a career readiness certificate in addition to the training which makes a great addition to anyone's linkedin page.
